About
Counselling
Tranquility Counselling provides a safe and supportive space in which to explore the issues you are facing.

Life presents regular challenges, and sometimes it can be difficult to decide how to respond.

I offer empathy and understanding that will help you to talk about your situation and explore your emotions so that you can begin to see a way forward. Change is never easy, and the presence of a compassionate and professional listener can make the process run more smoothly.

A counselling session can be described as a therapeutic conversation. It is different from a conversation with a friend because a counsellor stands outside your life situation and is able to see it objectively. Together we can explore new perspectives which overtime can bring the insight you have been looking for and that can be integrated into your way of life.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I listen in confidence and without judgment, abiding by the Ethical Framework of the BACP.

What to expect from
Counselling / Psychotherapy
The first step is to contact me to discuss what you are looking for in a counsellor and how you feel counselling may help. I can explain the counselling process, check how you feel about this process and if you feel feel comfortable talking to me.

If you feel that you would like to proceed with counselling then we can arrange a regular meeting time and date. I currently offer online, face-to-face and outdoors counselling. I will send you an email confirming our counselling agreement terms.

Tranquility offers a safe haven for all and welcomes diversity.

I do offer concessions to counselling students.
